Spine and Brain Monitoring is a company that is both physician-owned and surgeon-directed. The cases monitored by Spine and Brain Monitoring are managed by licensed and credentialed physicians committed to ensuring that the surgeon receives the most accurate information at all times.
Spine and Brain Monitoring has a dedicated team of highly skilled and educated surgical neurophysiologists who meet the highest standards of competency. We have a strong tradition of delivering quality intraoperative monitoring (IOM) services to hospitals and medical facilities in our communities. All our surgical neurophysiologists have received exceptional training and hold a Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM), or are in the process of obtaining their certification.
Our board-certified or board-eligible surgical neurophysiologists are equipped to handle any complications that may arise during surgery. We collaborate closely with the surgeon to minimize or prevent issues that could lead to long-term nerve injuries after the procedure.
Information about intraoperative monitoring is shared with all surgeons' offices to ensure that patients understand that neuromonitoring will be used during their surgery and why it is essential. The surgical neurophysiologist prior to the surgery in pre-op holding area will introduce themselves to the patient prior to the surgery to address any questions the patient might have regarding the monitoring process.
Spine and Brain Monitoring has been a leader in providing physicians who specialize in electrophysiology, neurophysiology, and intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring to collaborate with our surgical neurophysiologists during procedures. These specialists, known as remote-supervising neurologists, are integral to our “real-time” monitoring program, which involves transmitting data from the operating room to the neurologist as it happens. The remote supervising neurologist analyzes the data provided by the surgical neurophysiologist and maintains direct communication with them and the surgical team throughout the surgery.
When necessary, our supervising neurologists can discuss any data changes with the surgeon.
After each surgery, a detailed report is created and can be forwarded to the hospital’s records department or the surgeon’s office upon request. This report includes numerical results and professional insights interpreting the findings for each modality tested during the surgery, highlighting any abnormalities noted by the supervising physician.
At Spine and Brain Monitoring, we prioritize individualized care tailored to the specific requirements of each surgeon and patient. We cherish the partnerships we have developed with hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and surgeons, honoring the confidence they have in our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality IONM results. Our commitment to a "Patient First" approach ensures that patients receive reliable support from a devoted company that upholds principles of integrity, accountability, and respect. We aspire to be recognized for our exceptional service and expertise in the field of IONM.
Please note that a request online to book us for your (IONM) needs is not finalized until you speak with our scheduling coordinator and confirm the booking via phone.
